All personnel who require to renew their First Aid at Work certificates. Certificates must still be in date when attending refresher course.

Joining Instructions

Registration Time: 08:15am for 08.30am. Duration: 2 days. Equipment Required: Current Certificate must be in date. Lunch: Provided by Evolve unless at a customers premises. Please advise of any dietary requirements 24hrs in advance. Extra Information: If any delegates have special requirements e.g. wheelchair access, reading or writing difficulty, please let us know in order for us to provide an appropriate classroom or arrange assistance for written exercises. Delegates should have a basic understanding of the English language. Name changes are accepted up until the commencement of the course. Course Agenda

The First Aid at Work 2 day Refresher training course is designed to refresh and update participants first aid skills for the workplace. This course covers a range of topics including administering first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles, and joints, suspected spinal injuries, chest injuries, eye injuries, sudden poisoning, and anaphylactic shock.

Participants will learn how to properly assess and manage these types of injuries, as well as how to provide effective first aid treatments. The course will also cover the use of first aid equipment and how to handle emergency situations in the workplace.

The course will be delivered over two days and will include a combination of theory and practical sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to practice their skills in simulated scenarios, allowing them to gain confidence and experience in providing first aid in a safe and controlled environment.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate that is valid for three years. This course is suitable for those who have previously completed a First Aid at Work course and are looking to refresh their knowledge and skills. It is also ideal for those who work in high-risk environments or have a duty to provide first aid in the workplace. 8:30am - 4:00pm (approx.) - finishing times can vary depending on the class. 30 minutes for lunch and 2 x 10 minute breaks.

Welcome to The Training Centre in Aberdeen! Conveniently located, we have ample parking for up to 80 vehicles. If youre arriving by public transport, were just 15 minutes from Dyce Train Station and a quick 10-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. When you arrive, you can enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and drinking water, with the option to purchase soft drinks and breakfast rolls during breaks. To find us, head west on Auchmill Road from the A96, continue straight through one roundabout, and keep right to stay on the A96. Accreditation

Upon successful completion of the First Aid at Work 2 day Refresher training course, candidates will receive a First Aid at Work certificate that is valid for three years. This certificate is recognized by the Health and Safety Executive HSE and meets the requirements for workplace first aiders.

To ensure that first aid skills remain up-to-date and effective, we recommend completing an annual update of your first aid skills. This is in line with HSE recommendations and best practice. Our refresher course provides a comprehensive review of first aid techniques and procedures.
