To provide Operatives and Supervisors with the skills and knowledge to perform their respective duties when signing, lighting and guarding to the standards prescribed in-line with the NRSW Act 1991, in order to safeguard themselves and others.

Course Agenda

The Signing, Lighting and Guarding Unit 2by10 training course is designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to safely and effectively manage traffic control measures on roads and streets. The training will then move on to cover the basic principles of signing, lighting and guarding. This includes understanding the different types of signs and their meanings, as well as how to set them up correctly. Participants will also learn about lighting requirements and how to safely manage traffic at night. The importance of effective guarding to protect workers and the public will also be emphasized.

The practical aspect of the course will focus on the use of equipment such as portable traffic lights and the Code of Practice.
