This course provides the Supervisor with the neccessary skills to carry out monitoring of Signing, Lighting and Guarding starting with an on-site assessment which covers traffic flow, road widths, types of users,type of traffic control required, footway widths and ensuring pedestrian safety along with safety of the workforce. This course is aimed at those who are or intend to be Supervisors and monitor Signing, Lighting & Guarding.

Joining Instructions

Delegates should bring with them: Long sleeved hi-vis jacket, hard hat, safety boots and waterproof clothing. 2 Passport photographs are also required in order to apply for the SWQR card on successful completion of the course. Photographs are to be genuine passport photos, not digital images

Introduction, on-site assessment, taken through the "Safety at Street Works and Road Works" A Code of Practice (the red book) currently 6th impression 2016, risk assessment, methods of work, selection of Signing, Lighting & Guarding equipment, written coursework, question sets and site layout information..

8.00am - 16.00pm

Training Venue

Specific venue information; which includes the full address, directions to the venue, public transport links, parking, refreshments, nearby hotels and whether or not food is provided will be supplied to confirmed bookings prior to the start of the course.
