CAT and Genny (Cable Avoidance) Training CoursePrivate Course
To provide awareness and competence training in the use of cable locators as this is widely recognised as one of the key steps to reducing cable strikes.
Who Should Attend?
Cable Avoidance and Service Location CAT & Genny training is designed for any person working on the roads, setting out before a build, surveying and any other person excavating an area where pipes or cables may be hidden underground.
On completion of this course delegates will understand the reasons for using locators, Simple ways to locate street lighting cables, Location of bends, Location of junctions, Identification of utilities, Service connections, Locating through concrete reinforcing, Depth measurement (where applicable), Using Sondes for non metallic pipes and practical work, Hands on locating using receiver; transmitter and accessories.
Available as an open course at over 50 venues nationwide or as a private inhouse course on client premises.
3 year accreditation by XYZ Training Group Ltd, a company trusted to deliver this course to many of the UK s largest construction groups. Photo ID cards available on request.
This is a half day assessment combining both written and practical assessment of cable avoidance and underground services. As a half day course, you can combine this course with any other of our half day courses to create a full days training for little or no extra cost.
