For staff to know how to reduce fire risks, deal with fires if appropriate and escape safely in the event of fire.

Who Should Attend?

Any person who is expected to respond to a fire alarm or may actually be confronted by a real fire. Any person who may be required or have the opportunity to use a fire extinguisher, basically all staff.

Specific Fire Safety Awareness joining instructions will be supplied to you (if appropriate) once your booking is confirmed. If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Course Agenda

The Fire Safety Awareness training course covers the most common causes of fire, including electrical faults, human error, and flammable materials. Participants will learn about the behavior of fire and how it spreads, as well as the importance of fire prevention measures to reduce the risk of a fire breaking out.

In the event of a fire, knowing what to do can save lives. This course will teach attendees the proper procedures to follow if a fire breaks out, including how to raise the alarm, how to evacuate the building safely, and how to use fire extinguishers effectively.

Participants will also learn about emergency evacuation procedures, including the importance of designated fire exits and assembly points. They will gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of fire wardens and how to assist with the evacuation of others. This course will equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to handle fire emergencies confidently and efficiently.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, this course also includes practical exercises and demonstrations to reinforce learning. Participants will have the opportunity to practice using fire extinguishers and experience a simulated fire evacuation. Successful candidates who attend and pass the Fire Safety Awareness training course will receive a 3 year accreditation by XYZ Training Group Ltd. This accreditation is recognized and trusted by many of the UKs largest construction groups, making it a valuable addition to their professional credentials.

In addition to the accreditation, candidates will also have the opportunity to obtain a photo ID card upon request. This ID card serves as a proof of completion and can be used for future reference or as a requirement for certain job positions.
